How to Write 塔 (tǎ) — Meaning “tower / pagoda”

Picture a tower made of earth (土) that "answers" (荅) the sky by standing tall. Another way: think of the right part as grass (艹) growing on a platform (合) on top of the tower. This visual helps link the shape to the meaning of a tall structure.
