How to Write 诤 (zhèng) — Meaning “to admonish; to argue”

Picture a friend (讠 as speech) who argues (争） with you honestly because they care about you—this is 诤友. The character looks like someone using words (讠) to "fight" (争) for your betterment, making it easy to recall.

When writing 诤, note that the left radical 讠 (speech) is written first with two strokes, and its second stroke should be a smooth curve. The right side 争 has a top part resembling a claw (爫) and a bottom vertical stroke that ends with a hook—do not confuse it with the similar-looking 争 in other contexts.
