How to Write 喃 (nán) — Meaning “to mutter; to mumble”

Picture a person in the south (南) of China covering their mouth (口) and mumbling softly because they don't want others to hear. The sound they make is "nan nan," which matches the character's pinyin. This visual connects the mouth radical, the phonetic component, and the meaning of muttering.
