How to Write 逖 (tì) — Meaning “Distant / Far”

Imagine a person (狄) walking (辶) all the way to a deer (the shape of 狄 looks a bit like a deer with antlers) in a very distant forest. The walk to reach that far deer helps you recall both “distant” and the character’s sound “tì.”

The radical 辶 should be written with the final sweeping stroke reaching smoothly under the right part. The right component 狄 has a tight structure: first write the dot and left-falling stroke, then the middle horizontal, and finally the two vertical hooks—make sure the last stroke is slightly curved, not straight.
