How to Write 迶 (yòu) — Meaning “To go; distant”

Imagine pointing your right hand (右) forward and saying "go that way" while your feet (辶) start walking. The character combines "right" and "walk" to mean moving far off, so just think of taking a right turn and walking into the distance.

First write the walk radical 辶 with its dot on top, then the horizontal folding stroke, and finally the long sweeping stroke. Then add 右 on the right side, making sure the lower part of 辶 stretches slightly under 右. A common mistake is making 辶 too small, which throws off the balance.
