How to Write 皎 (jiǎo) — Meaning “Bright; white”

Imagine a bright white moon (白) with crisscrossing shadows (like the lines in 交) on its surface. The moon is so clear that you can see the crossing branches of a tree. This visual connects the white radical to the clear, bright meaning of 皎.
